A few people have asked if we plan to do anything commemorative to mark the one year anniversary, so I figured it was okay to post it here. This is not meant as any sort of a request, just information for anyone who wants it. With my inlaws and a few other close friend's help we are going to be helping to start a children's library at our shul in remembrance of Gabi. If anyone is interested in participating in any way, please let me know and we can figure out how to make it work. Kosher books are obviously welcome donations, as is anything else you might have access to.
Thank you.
May this coming year bring Nechama, and simcha. And may your heart be eased knowing how many people care for you, and your family, and still think of you daily. We also think of Gabbi, and try to do things in her memory. I am wishing your whole family good thoughts this week, and always.

OK, maybe some silly questions, but:
ReplyDelete1 - Hebrew books, right?
2 - For those of us overseas, where can we have the books mailed - your address, or would you prefer them to go directly to the shul?
3 - Any Kosher book suggestions? I am not well versed in this...
4 - What is the name of that online Israeli bookstore again? I know probooks, but you had once mentioned another one to me.
I think this is a wonderful idea. :) Many people are of Gabi and of your entire family often, and I am sure we will do so even moreso over the next few weeks. I hope that the love that surrounds you, and the love that you feel for your children, brings you comfort.
Sorry - make that many people are *thinking* of Gabi and your entire family. :)
ReplyDeleteHebrew or English is fine- we go to a mostly Anglo shul (you should come visit and check it out ;)). By kosher I mean anything appropriate to be read during shul at an orthodox minyan- so on parsha, shul, chagim, helping people, midot etc. There is wizkids here, book depository online, or Negev in Toronto but then shipping is a nightmare unless you know someone coming. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteThat;s a really nice idea. May it be a zchus for her and a comfort for you.
ReplyDeleteI have the book "Labels for Label" that I would be happy to donate but I have no way of getting it to you. Any suggestions?
We'd like to order a few books for you. Please let me know:
ReplyDelete- should we send to the shul, or to your home? (And if the shul - would you please send me a message with the address?)
- If I order from Book Depository UK, will the recipient have to pay duty at pickup? They seem to have the best selection, but I will go with an Israeli one if that's better.
